THE BLACK TAILED PRAIRIE DOG
My animal's name is the Black-Tailed Prairie Dog also known as Cynomys ludovicionus. It is a mammal and is 14- 16 inches long and weighs 32-48 oz. It is a consumer of plants and prey to the corsac fox. My animal is not endangered at this time. It has large black eyes, a brown upper body, and a white lower body. The prairie dog stays in its burrow all day and waits for the night to search for food. its food source is small plants and its water source is small ponds that were from rain.
